We decided on
a new look for 2004. The signal lights were removed
from the fenders and relocated to behind the horn
grills. We wet sanded the car and Gary from ARAGON'S
and crew taped off a flamed pattern from a design
we drew on some blank Bug line drawings.

The car was sprayed using House of Kolor Candy
Apple Red, Candy Tangerine and Candy Pagen Gold.

The engine compartment was also redone.( this pictures
shows it still unfinished) A Porsche Fan conversion
kit was painted Candy Apple Red and installed. A remote
oil cooler and pump, filter, fan and were installed.
The 48 IDAWebers were put back on. Not finding anyone
who made or sold the linkage to use the 48s with the
Porsche conversion kit, George fabricated the linkage.

Here is the car, in Moab Utah, finished.
Other modifications included 2-1/2" dropped front
spindles, Euro style tail lights, an in-dash gauge
combo consisting of a tach, voltmeter and oil pressure
gauge .
